Popis v původním jazyce:This work is compilation of diploma and bachelor work and summarized the history and present of breeds Belgian Shepherd Malinois and German Shepherd. It shows formation of both breeds and their development. It introduces with conditions in individual clubs and their widespread use of working, especially in dogs sports. Statistically, two breeds were evaluated according to IPO - World Cup/Championship and the Czech IPO Championship and compared scores in disciplines - obedience, defense, track and total score from 2003 to 2011 nine years period. It was found out that Belgian Shepherd Dog received higher scores than German Shepherd in WC, although his representation as a breed was not very significant. The performance in Czech Republic of both breeds were more balanced, but the overall results except for the years 2006, 2007 and 2008 received higher scores for Belgian Shepherd Malinois.
